Description:

Barnabas Center * Crisis Center Nassau* provide services and programs that are available to residents of Nassau County who live at or below the Federal Poverty guidelines. Barnabas Center * Crisis Center Nassau* offers assistance to residents in temporary crisis, mental health counseling, medical services and dental services (Nassau County residents, age 18 and over), assistance includes financial, Callahan Mobile Food Pantry, emergency food and clothing; clothing, houseware and furniture vouchers are sometimes available from New to You Resale Store.

*Hours of Operations: (Food Pantry): Mon 1pm-4pm; Tues 10am–5pm; Wed-Thurs 10am–3pm; Fri 10am–noon*.
*Callahan Mobile Food Pantry Hours of Operation: call 904-261-7000 for hours*
*Hours of Operations: (New to You Resale Store): Mon-Sat 9am-6pm*

Eligibility:

*Appointment are preferred; general criteria is that participants are residents of Nassau County and live at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. Assistance is limited to once in a 12 month period for crisis assistance (financial assistance for rent, mortgage, utilities)*

*Prospective patients must first be prescreened for eligibility for medical and dental services for Nassau County residents, age 18 and over; live at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines and are uninsured.. Medical and dental services have a fee; appointments are required*.

*Food pantry at the Weaver Center; provide a three-day supply of food (approximately 30 pounds) every 30 days*.
