Changing Homelessness *Veteran Assistance* program that uses Support Services for Veteran Families(SSVF) funding grant to serve Veteran families in Duval County and promote housing stability among very low income Veteran families who live in or are transitioning into permanent housing. Homelessness prevention assistance may include deposits, rent assistance or utility assistance, case management and temporary financial assistance to individual Veterans or Veteran families experiencing homelessness or extreme housing crisis. Households must meet strict minimum eligibility to quality for prevention funds.

*Honorably discharged or Medical Release veteran residing in household
*Household income not to exceed 50 percnet of area median income
*For rent assistance, must have a lease and an eviction notice
*For utilities assistance, must be in arrears
