Specialized Therapeutic Foster Care provides family-based treatment for identified children in the dependency system (DCF, District IV) needing family-based treatment/therapeutic foster care; providing a less restrictive setting than hospitals and residential treatment facilities. The program provides a team-oriented, family-based treatment approach involving the foster child, the therapeutic foster family and, when appropriate, the birth parents to help the child develop socially acceptable behaviors and improved self awareness and self esteem.

After-hours answering service evenings and weekends

Intake Process:

Contact program supervisor for scheduling and intake

Program Fees:

Fee assessed based on therapeutic needs of the child and are covered by community-based care lead agency




Children in foster care who are assessed by Medicaid and meet criteria for an enhanced therapeutic level of foster care
