The Florida Directory of Early Childhood Services (Florida's Central Directory) provides statewide information and referral services for families of children who have disabilities and special health care needs or who are at risk for developmental delays. The Central Directory operates a national toll-free number 1-800-654-4440, maintains a statewide database, advocacy, public awareness and education.

Services include: 1) community services (advocacy, public awareness); 2) counseling (child, family); 3) diagnosis and evaluation (developmental); 4) early intervention services (home instruction, infant stimulation); 5) equipment (medical, mobility aids); 6) medical services (doctors, intensive care); 7) special education (private and public schools); 8) support groups (parent, emotional); 9) support services (home health care, respite care); 10) therapy (physical, speech); 11) training on disability issues (inclusion).
