Description:

Haven of Hope is a ministry that serves the Christian community with education in effective ministry to those who are infected and affected by HIV and AIDS helps to dispel the stigma and fear. It is their vision for the church to rise up and bring hope and healing to a people who are sick, hurting, and alone. Some of their services include: the Hope Line for anonymous counseling and prayer; Spiritual support through weekly Bible studies and support groups; Emotional support through peer outreach workers for home, hospital, and nursing home visitation; Practical support through food and clothing, community resource and social service referral listings.

Food Baskets are offered to those that adhere to the Federal Poverty Guidelines set forth by the USDA. These baskets include nutritious food products, such as meat, vegetables, fruits and other products to assist in promoting health for families. These baskets are culturally sensitive in offering beans and rice to those that are Hispanic or Haitian that come to us.
